THANKSGIVING CEREMONY FOR INTENDED HAJ PILGRIMS

Doa Selamat bagi Bakal Haji or Thanksgiving ceremonies for intended Haj pilgrims took place yesterday morning at the Belait's Religious Affair Office. The blessing ceremony was for the 6 officers and staff under the Belait's Religious Affair Office who are to perform the Haj along with other intending Haj pilgrims in the country. Present was the Belait's Head of Religious Office, Haji Mat Zin bin Haji Muntol, the staff of Belait's Religious Affairs and officers from the Belait's Islamic Studies Department.

The ceremony began with the recital of Surah Al-Fathiah led by Imam Mohd Aliyani bin Ismail , an officer from the Mosque Affairs Departmentfollowed by a mass reading of Surah Yasin, Doa Yasin and special prayer or 'Doa Khusus' for the Haj intending pilgrims.

The ceremony also saw the presentation of donation to the Haj pilgrims by the Belait's Head of Religious Office, Haji Mat Zin bin Haji Muntol. Also presented the donation, Haji Bagol bin Awg. Haji Tuah to two officers and one religious teacher under the Belait's Islamic Studies Department.

The Doa Selamat ceremony is an annual activity for the Belait's Religious Affairs for intended pilgrims to perform their Islamic obligation in fulfilling the final pillar of Islam.
