Sekolah Ugama Sungai Taring Lumut Students participated in Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony

Sixty two students comprising 35 male and 27 female students of Sungai Taring Religious School participated in a khatam al-Quran ceremony this afternoon held at the 3rd Battalion Lumut Camp Surau. The guest of honour at the ceremony was Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Shafiee bin Duraman, 3rd Battalion Commanding Officer of Lumut Camp. The ceremony commenced with the recital of Surah Al-Fatihah led by the guest of honour followed by the recitation of Surah Lazim (Short Quranic verses) starting with Surah Ad-Duha. This was followed by the reading of Takhtim and a Dikir Marhaban performance. Concluding the ceremony, Doa Khatam was read by Awg. Abdul Hakeem Hafizzuddin bin Hosaney

The occasion also saw the sprinkling of scented oil and presentation of certificates to the khatam participants led by the guest of honour, his wife and followed by officers, invited guests, parents and guardians of the students.
