Khatam Al Quran at Sayyidina Ali Religious School

In marking the completion of 30 juzuk of the Al-Quran, Sayyidina Ali Religious school held a Khatam Al-Quran event at the school's hall. Twenty one male students and nineteen females students from Primary Six participated in the event and the ceremony was one of the annual activities organized by the School. Dyg Mutiah bte Abdullah, The Manager of Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam Berhad (BIBD) of Tutong's branch, was present as a guest of honour.

The ceremony begin with the recital of Surah Al Fatihah led by Cikgu Zuriady bin Zini followed by the reading of Surah Al-Waqiaah by the participants in the event. A recitation of a Takhtim was then performed by the students of Sayyidina Ali Religious School. Followed by doa khatam, recited by Mohammad Noor Hearlddey bin Mohd Helmi, one of the khatam participant. Dikir Yaman Hadhar was performed after the doa khatam.

The occasion also saw the sprinkling of flowers on the participants led by the guest of honour followed by some 100 parents and guardians who were also in attendance.

The guest of honour presented the participants with certificates for their performance.

The ceremony ended with the recitation of doa selamat by Cikgu Zuriady bin Zini
