The guest of honour was Haji Mat Zain bin Haji Muntol, Belait's Head Religious Officer. Also in attandence were officers of the Islamic Studies Departments and headmasters of religious school in Belait District. The ceremony begin with the recital of Surah Al-Fatihah led by guest of honour followed by the reading of Surah Al-Mulk by the khatam participants.
The primary five students performed the recital of Takhtim Al-Quran. It also saw the reading of Dikir Marhaban by the primary five male students while the Doa Khatam was read by Haji Muhammad Nabil Hilmi bin Hj Hassan, a khatam's participant.
The guest of honour and his wife also sprinkled scanted flowers and presented the certificate to the students followed by parents and guardians who were also in attendence.
The khatam ceremony then concluded with the presentation of a souvenir to the guest of honour and his wife by Pengiran Anak Puteri Rashidah Saadatul Bolkiah Religious School's Headmaster Cikgu Hajah Mahani binti Hj Aris
